東京には、相反するふたつが同時にある。飲み込まれそうになる瞬間と、いつのまにか包まれている瞬間。そのどちらも東京で、どちらも本当だ。 ひとつのかたちが、画面の中で変形しつづける。輪郭は不規則に歪み、内側では何かが押し合うように動いている。その動きは、平らな画面の奥へと続いているように見える。何かに圧されているようで、同時にそれを受け止めているようでもある。 東京で過ごす時間は、いつもこんな感覚に似ている。作品は街と地続きの場所で、同じように変形しつづけている。
Tokyo holds two contradictions at once. The moment of being consumed, and the moment of being embraced without knowing when. Both are Tokyo. Both are true. A form keeps deforming within the screen. The outline distorts without pattern; inside, something moves as if pressing against itself. The movement seems to continue into the depth of the flat screen. Pressed by something, and at the same time, receiving it. Time in Tokyo always feels something like this. The work stands where the city continues, deforming in the same way.
